Located in a nice beach neighborhood on the coastline of Aguada, between the town of Aguada and Rincon. Approximately, 2 hours west of San Juan, 20-30 minutes from Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla and 15 minutes from downtown Rincón. Centered between some of the island's greatest surfing and diving locations – and adjacent to the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute. The apartments and cabin offer a tropical setting where you can get away from it all.
Our properties include four, two-bedroom apartments and a one-bedroom cabin – each is simple with a small living room, porch or balcony, bathroom and kitchen equipped with the basics. The Property is one of the few in the area with a yard and just steps from the shore of Aguada, on the west coast of Puerto Rico. Please note that they are cooled with fans, no A/C, just the ocean breeze. We do have WiFi, however, no phone or TV.
The area is rural so if you are planning to explore, we recommend renting a car. There are some local taxi services and airport shuttles, however, with the COVID-19 pandemic, some on these services have been suspended or are limited. We suggest researching transportation options.
Currently we are only booking via Airbnb giving you the confidence of reserving via a well-known platform. As a guest, going through Airbnb also gives you the opportunity to search the Airbnb database — we at 3 Soles truly want you to enjoy your visit/time on the island. Look at some of the other properties in the area and make sure that we are the right fit for your visit.
Also, paying and communicating through Airbnb helps ensure that you're protected under Airbnb’s Terms of Service, Payments Terms of Service and cancellation and refund policies (including COVID-19 cancellations). It also makes it easy to find and reference important reservation details such as your itinerary, check-in details, and other useful information. However, please know that we are available and flexible with communication – we provide an 800 number, email, and we are open to texting regarding questions you may have before, during and after your visit.
Check-in is set for 2:00 PM, however, we know that Puerto Rico's flight schedules can bring you in at redeye times. The last thing that we want is to add any stress to your arrival. That is why we do offer flexible check-in when not conflicting with a previous reservation (for turnover). YOU MUST REQUEST FLEXIBLE CHECK-IN IN ADVANCE TO SEE IF IT CAN BE COORDINATED.
Additionally, we use lockboxes that are located on the door of your unit for you to access the keys. We will send you the combination before your arrival so that all you have to do is get there and relax.
“Amazing location! Steps from the beach that you can walk down for forever. Great place to stay on budget. No AC wasn’t a problem, fans were enough. Great communication, easy check in and out. Perfect to cook simple meals as well. Will stay here again!” – Maddie (Summer Love-1A, Nov 28 - Dec 4, 2020)
“We loved our stay at the cabins. The place is rustic and simple, but comfortable, clean and exactly what we needed. You can see the ocean while drinking coffee on the deck, and it's a 2 minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach where you can swim and sometimes even surf. The yard space is amazing - we spent many hours hanging out, grilling, reading, napping in the hammock... It felt like being in the jungle, except just steps from the beach. Everyone in the neighborhood was so friendly. Would have stayed much longer if I could!”

“Great value, great location. 15 minutes to surfing in Rincon, 40 minutes to surfing in Aguadilla. Lots of good food nearby in Aguada.” – TJ (Summer Love-1A, Jan 7 - Jan 26, 2021)
“Nice place next to the beach and at a really good price.” – William (Sol de Soleil-1B, Jan 12 - Jan 17, 2021)
“Steps away from the beach. We could hear the waves from the apartment. Everything is clean. Really calm neighborhood. Lots of places to eat nearby and grocery stores to fill the fridge and use the kitchen. Definitely want to go back.” - Melissa (Summer Love-1A, Jan 29 - Jan 31, 2021)
"A beautiful, affordable option in a really cool part of Puerto Rico, right on the beach. Frank was helpful and communicative, and it was a very enjoyable stay." - Eben (Little Sunset-1C, Nov 9 - Nov 16, 2021)
"The apartment was perfect for our trip. No AC, no problem-we had great breezes off the ocean (~a block away) and the fans in both the common area and the bedrooms were excellent. Hot water was strong in the shower. Gorgeous plants around the shared outdoor area, fun watching the iguanas, and lots of birds to watch including a very charming pair of banaquits around the upstairs balcony. Hammocks in the shade are a great touch, and stellar wi-fi reaching out as far as the hammocks made it even greater. The local beach was great for walking and could be fun for surfing when conditions are right and for people comfortable with reefy/rocky breaks. The shared outdoor spaces were great for meeting our neighbors too, and we got to talk at length with Frank who was super responsive not only by email, but also in person while he was also on the island. 100% recommend this place." - Trey (Pretty Vivi-2B, Feb 15 - Feb 19, 2022)
"Great location right by the beach, which you can walk for several miles, also close to restaurants including the amazing chicken place right at the end of the street on 115. The unit had everything we needed, and we really loved hanging out in the yard - great hammocks, lots of shade, and beautiful landscaping and fruit trees (ate some delicious mangos courtesy Frank). Recommended!" - Kevin (Sol de Soleil-1B, Feb 19 - Feb 28, 2022)
"Amazing location with view of the waves. Great vibes and beautiful yard to hang out in. Amazing communication and experience." - Franklin (Pretty Vivi-2B, Feb 20 - Feb 23, 2022)

Formally known as Cabañas El Palmar (now 3 Soles), the properties have been in our family for over 34 years. In 1988, my father and I built the first cabin, a one-bedroom unit that my wife, Vivi, lovingly named Little Sunset. From there my father built a small apartment building with four, two-bedroom apartments – named; Summer Love, Sol de Soleil, Lady Carmen, and Pretty Vivi.
My father’s plan was to eventually retire and just focus on the properties. However in September 2017, Hurricane Maria, a deadly Category 5 hurricane, brought devastation and great suffering to Puerto Rico. The apartments, cabin and land experienced great damages and destruction. Recovering from Maria was not easy and very sluggish as my father was slowing down with age. Sadly, two years after Hurricane Maria my father passed away.
Presently my wife and I are working to preserve my father’s vision by slowly renovating the property. As we do, we hope to provide you with a place where you can escape from your daily routine as you explore our beautiful island and the west coast of Puerto Rico.
My father originally named the property, "Cabañas El Palmar" (The Palm Grove Cabins), before Hurricane Maria there was a palm grove on the side of the property and several palm trees throughout. After Hurricane Maria destroyed the palm grove and with the passing of my father, it became very difficult to use the same name and we opted to make the change.
The name 3 Soles is in honor of our three children; Summer, Soleil and Sky, the next generation. Keeping the legacy going, restoring the land and units, and looking forward to all the great things to come.
